Welcome! My name is David Williams. I am an electrician, electrical engineer, and electrical inspector.
I am a member of NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors & Testers).
I am also a member of the IET (Institution of Engineering & Technology).
I have many years of experience in the electrical engineering profession, starting as an apprentice with the MEB (Midlands Electricity Board).
My electrical engineering experience spans commercial, industrial, and domestic installations, with a focus on building service electrical systems and electrical equipment & machinery.
The most common certificates and reports that are required are listed below,
The above electrical reports and certificates are required for all industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical installations.
The reports and certificates will differ since domestic certificates are usually of a more basic form, for example, one consumer unit, single-phase, 230 volts.
The commercial/industrial versions may incorporate several distribution boards/consumer units, single and three-phase, 230/400 volts.
PAT Testing, or In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment, is carried out on electrical appliances and equipment of varying sizes.
The appliance or equipment may be portable, movable or fixed, single-phase or three-phase, 230/400 volts.
Services are provided across the West Midlands Region by prior appointment.
